Regency Property Donates Rooms to Deserving Families
Creating Lifelong Memories
Everyone knows someone with cancer. Forty-three children are diagnosed with the disease every day in the United States. Hospitals and IVs sadly become a reality for many of cancer’s most vulnerable victims.
Arrowwood Okoboji in Iowa provides a weekend getaway every year to these courageous children and their families. The hotel donates all 100 of their rooms the night of Sanford Children’s Miracle Network’s annual Making Waves for Children fundraiser. Families get the chance to spend time together outside of the hospital and make memories that will last a lifetime.
It’s an honor to be part of these families’ lives. They deserve a getaway where the only thing they have to focus on is each other, not the cost.

Round-the-clock treatments and expenses prevent many of these families from taking a vacation. This overnight stay is a welcome and much-needed break for both kids and their parents. Our employees make sure these special guests have everything they need to make their stay as comfortable as possible.
Employees look forward to this event every year. They enjoy seeing the children’s smiles and hearing their sweet giggles. These little ones touch the hearts of everyone they meet during their stay.

Bridges Bay Resort is another Regency property in Okoboji, Iowa. They add to the fun-filled weekend. Kids can splash around and zoom down the water slides at their waterpark. And when they want to dry off, they can ride the roller coasters and run around Arnold’s Park free of charge. The weekend is full of games, prizes, and fun.
Hospitality is what we do best. Giving back to the communities we live and work in continues to be at the heart of everything we do. Our properties take that responsibility very seriously. We hope the generosity of the Okoboji community and our properties inspires others to give back.
